The StealthCat Team

I have the pleasure of introducing the talent behind StealthCat Productions. Here they are, in no particular order:

The Technical Team

Ankur Agarwal: Programmer
"Hello! I am Software Engineer doing MEng in Computer Science at Cornell. Like everyone else in our team, even I enjoy playing computer games and I find same kind of fun in developing games as well. For the team, I have been an artist for the first two games and now am trying to contribute as a programmer. I hope you enjoy playing our games as much as we enjoyed developing them."

Richard Hough: Programmer
Richard Hough is a Ph.D. graduate student at Cornell who has decided to leave his studies and enter into the game industry. Currently he hopes to land a gameplay programming position at a reputable studio and spend a few years learning the ropes before then transitioning into design. He's a large science fiction fan (particularly of the new Doctor Who), and what free time he does not use for video games is spent playing Racquetball and watching classic movies. His favorite games would be Planescape: Torment, Silent Hill 2, and Natural Selection. All of the games that he's worked on can be found here.

Chris Parsons: Programmer
Chris has been a gamer in all senses of the word since a young age, and has taken his love of games and put it to use in game design. In his freetime he plays PC games, card games (including Magic: the Gathering) and board games (such as Go).

Jess Loeb: Programmer
jess likes pokemon and lolcats. kthxbai

The Content Generators

Michael Spanier: Musician
"Hey, I'm Michael and I'm working on the sound and music design and creation for this project. I don't have lots of experience, but I am always learning more about electronic music reproduction, using many different types of software like FL Studio, Reason, and Ableton Live. I also have decent programming skills and have played enough games that I contribute to the design process. I'm hoping to learn a lot and gain valuable experience working with our group. It's also crazy fun to work on a project that you enjoy!"

Antony Berzack: Artist/Level Designer
Antony Berzack is a graduate student in the Communications Dept. at Cornell. Antony's research runs the gamut of game studies, though mostly focusing on the dialog between a culture and its games. Stealthcat Productions has allowed Antony to focus on the production side of games that he has so far only read about.

Peter Clain: Artist/Play Tester
Peter is a junior/senior Information Science, Systems, and Technology major, concentrating in Information Science (as opposed to Management Science). He serves as a 2D artist/sprite artist for the game.

Me: Artist
Hey, this is Sarah Brown, a Senior in Computer Science, minoring in Computing in the Arts and Music. I've served as programmer, artist, and musician in past game groups. I spend most of my time on the internet here, here, here, and here. I also spend a lot of time in around the digital music studios, recording and performing my electroacoustic compositions.

Enjoy the games we'll be making this semester, and remember, stealth cat is stealthy.

Airship Fedora

Genre: Platformer/Puzzle
Engine: Gamemaker
File Type: .exe

In this game you, a beloved snowman/peanut, must escape from the blimp in which you are trapped. The only way to escape is to ingest colored blocks and then turn them into moving platforms. Don't ask us why there are spikes and crushing rock monsters inside a blimp, or why you're wearing a Fedora... these things are clearly common blimp occurrences.

Web O Flies

The objective of the game is to kill the spider before it kills you. You must travel along the spider web collecting drops of dew in order to revive your fallen comrades. Bonuses are awarded for beating levels quickly. As you progress through the levels, you can revive different bugs such as the ferocious wasp or the elusive firefly to aide you. But beware, the spiders you encounter also grow in strength and gain strange new powers.

Yeah, nothing here yet....

This will be the official blog for the Experimental game design group. We will be putting up regular updates once we get everything under control. Soon, this will be a gateway to see the very complex design process in creating a game in three weeks.

Stay tuned, and if your in the group, accept your author invite!!!
